Creative Resume

Well I got married and shifted to Mumbai and join the first job that came to my way but soon I realize I can do better, so I started looking out for a new job. Getting the first one was easy but changing it and finding the second one turned out to be a hard case but I wasn't ready to give up. After applying for hundreds of jobs and not getting a reply from even one. I thought there is something wrong with my resume.
I mean I have sound qualification, good experience and great personality for sure. So where was I lacking, I realize my resume was a normal one just like any other resume, there is nothing creative about it. It looks like the rest.
So I set my journey to re-launch my resume just like we relaunch an unsuccessful product. I went though hundred of resumes online and after few experiment I finally found the “one”. I mean it wasn't too gaudy or too numb. It suits my profile of marketing manager.
Below you will find my resume experiments. Please be happy to leave comments and to ask anything on the matter.
this is my old resume simple and less effective

and my new creative one

This is where i got the idea from

Cheap Wall Stencil

Inexpensive Wall Decoration
I have been watching my plane white wall for a long time and I really wanna change it. I have gone through so many sites for that and have looked around at so many wall decals and stickers but I find them expensive. So I decided to paint my wall at my own. Here is what I have done.
Firstly I have drawn an outline with a pencil  as you can see in the picture

Than I have carefully painted along the outlines.

Than I fill within

Than I took few leaves. You can choose the one which you like and of course of different sizes.
I painted them and paste it on the wall and take them off after few seconds. Sometimes you might have to draw an outline to give proper shapes to these leaves.

Here is what my final peace look like.

I have used just one colour as it was a trial but you can use different colours also. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. You can also mail me at sonika@mail.com

Addicted to FACEBOOK GAMES??

Addicted to FACEBOOK GAMES??

If you are addicted to facebook games, can’t resist the urge in your body to play these games. When you know that you are wasting your time by playing them and you want to stop but still daily you end up by spending 1/2 hr to 1 hr on these games. Well in that case you are reading the right artical.

What is happing with you is called Addiction. But luckily it’s not a drug addiction. See it like this, people who make such games are earning but you on the other hand. Well my dear you are losing your precious time which I am sure you can put to some other wise use. Now I want you to ask a question to yourself. “Do you want to stop wasting your time playing castleville, zinga or poker?” If the answered is yes than read ahead, if no than don’t waste your time here instead build your damn artificial city or villa or whatever.
Now when you are sure want to stop. Try and follow these

1. Next time when you are about to start up your castleville or zinga or fish aquarium just asks yourself. Am I using my time or wasting it? Will it pay me the money? Have I finished all my important work? If answer to any of these questions is NO. You know what to do.

2. If you still have the urge like "I will play just for five minutes and it’s no harm, I have done my work, I should have sometime for myself and bla bla" Well than its time to bribe yourself. Just think “is there something which you want to buy for yourself for quite a time”. Well tell yourself if I won’t play it just for a week in return I will get myself that prize.

3. Still end up playing it. Well now try of thinking it as a mission to see how much self control you have over yourself. You don’t want to lose to a lazy ass. You know you have a life beside facebook games and you want it.

4. Still not successful well than just do a thing either through up your dongle or give it to your mom and ask her not to give it you even when you ask. Believe me this will definitely work.

5. And best idea is take a long vacation on some hill station or some island. Where there is no laptop no internet. Just you and nature. The best place to find you innersole.

Now don’t forget to tell me, does it work for you or not?

Planning for the FIRST DATE

Planning for the FIRST DATE
Well you must have heard first impression is the last impression. It’s true especially if you are going on a first date. Remember the famous dialogue of Will Smith in Hitch “First kiss tells a girl everything she needs to know about the relation”. We don’t know about the first Kiss but surely if first date is not good than you are not getting a second chance out here. So here are some key points for you.

1. Location, Location, and Location. I am not trying to sell you anything just telling you the importance of place where you take your gal/guy. Don’t take him or her to a place where it’s hard to find a single human being or where it is too crowded. Just the perfect mix will be better. Where he/she won’t be uncomfortable.

2. Choose Fun activities for two of you. Remember the more fun it is, more he/she will open up. So choose some activities for two you, where both of you will be involved rather than just sitting and watching movie for three hours. (Holding hand is fun in cinema hall but that’s a no no on a first date.)

3. Don't Brag yourself, you don’t have to show off. You don’t have to tell him/her how great you are. Remember she already likes you that’s why she agrees to come on a date with you, now only you have to do is not to mess that up.

4. Talk but mostly listen, don’t sit down there like a dumb person talk to him/her. Talk about likes and dislikes. Talking about hobbies is the best topic and remembers to avoid politics, religion and your ex's all the time (not something to talk on a first date)

5. Be who you are, just don’t change to someone you are not, the first date might be good but not the relation if that’s what you are looking for. So just be calm and enjoy your time.

Now these were the basics rest is still up to you. All the best from my side and don’t forget to tell me how your date went on.

Branding at Grassroot Level

Today I wanna talk about Branding. As the name suggest it’s about, establishing your brand name in the minds of customers. It’s an important part of marketing strategy.

I was just roaming around with my friends when I saw few amazing names of the shop and I realize, that branding is done not only by multinationals but also at grass root level. Remember the advertisement of Muthoot Finance when sardar is about to open a lassi shop and he says I got the fianance easily but thinking of a name for the shop is difficult. And finally he came up with the name “Happy Lassi Wala”. That advertisement actually tells us that people just don’t want a name; they want their own brand. A brand name, which reside in the minds and hearts of the customers. A strong brand name is an invaluable asset for the company. So next time you are planning to open up a business, just think harder for the name.
Here are few amazing names that I came across.

How We Read Newspaper Tells What Kind of Person WE ARE

You know when we analyse a person we analyse his habits basically. So today in the morning I was thinking does our newspaper reading habit define what kind of person we are? And the answer is “it surely tells us something if not everything.”

I have made 6 categories of people (add more kind if you can find)

1. DO NOT READ NEWSPAPER AT ALL- Well that’s the first category, either they are too busy (that an excuse because we find time for our favourite work anyhow) or they don’t want to know what’s happening around them basically they are happy in them-self, they don’t need to know what’s happing around them.

2. READ THE CARTOON CORNER FIRST- well such person wish to start there day with happiness with a smile, they are happy go lucky kind of people. On the other hand they are searching for escapism from the real world. It’s hard for them to accept change.

3. READ THE NEWSPAPER FROM END- I think they are quite introvert people. There thinking is different from common man. If there is a question they won’t think about the answer of the questions rather they think why the hell this question arise.

4. READ THE NEWSPAPER FROM MIDDLE- As we generally have deep rooted thoughts articles in middle pages. So such people are good listeners. Generally they aren't prejudiced about something. They don’t look for questions rather the solutions to the problems. They are open to change. A person ready to listen to others point of view.

5. READ THE GOSSIP PAGE FIRST- Such people are chatter box. They love to gossip. They are more interested in knowing about what is happening in others lives rather than there owns. They are happy when others are happy. They find there happiness in other people smile. But stay away from such people if you don’t want a rumour going in campus about you.

6. KEEP THE NEWSPAPAPER- Well either they love to show off that they read newspaper while actually they don’t or they are your kabardi wala's
